The staff was so warm, inviting and helpful! Also this little shop is beautiful and very photogenic. They stock a great selection of current popular books and more specialize genres. I’m impressed they can get so much variety in their little shop! One staff member was also kind enough to recommend a coffee shop/ florist around the corner that was a perfect sunny spot to read and enjoy my new book! A wonderful experience all around!

A lovely book store in a very beautiful location. Its plentiful selection offers options to all types of readers and interests. As a history reader, I found a particular book that peaked my interest, titled “The Island at the Center of the World” by Russell Shorto, which is the story of Dutch Manhattan before it was seized by the British in 1664. A very compelling read so far. In addition, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. A great all around experience.

Fantastic bookstore in a great neighborhood. I had an opportunity to visit and chat with the staff, since I opened my own bookstore recently in another state, and it was wonderful chatting with them and learning from their experiences. The selection is well curated and includes children's books, a great display of local New York City books, and a thoughtfully chosen selection of new books, bestsellers, and staff picks. HEAVEN?
This bookstore is one of the Top reasons I like to go to NYC…and keep in mind I have family who lives there! It’s hard to believe but true that such a small, cozy place has so many great books and is really well organized, too.
The staff is Amazing! Each person I’ve spoken with has been warm, engaging, knowledgeable and absolutely delightful!
So, each time I’m in NYC and disappear, the response is…”Oh, Mom is at Three Lives.”

It’s a really cute bookstores with great selection and competitive price. It’s a popular spot on Instagram as well. A lot of people go there to take photos. It’s conveniently located in the heart of west village, with a lot of charming cafes and restaurants nearby. Please visit this local store and make it a stop of your New York visit.
