I love the reviews about this hobby shop. First, the owner has absolutely no idea how to run a business. He's proof that it's better to be lucky than good.

Maybe the nicest guy in the world, but adds 10% to the MSRP of everything so you're overpaying for everything. He can't keep an employee to save his life.

The shop is like a thrift store. You go in you're walking around inventory. There's no discernible method to anything..

So respectfully, the prices are not reasonable they're overpriced. But one good thing I will say is that the people who worked there are generally nice people good people, knowledgeable people. I just think there are better options. Unfortunately, he has a monopoly in that area.

This is the best Hobby shop I have found. I live in college Station, we have one hobby shop in town but I drive a hour just to go to Randy’s.

The employees are super cool and friendly, and know a lot about everything. They also keep a toon of parts in stock, and the prices are great also. So if you’re looking for a Hobby shop……. GO TO RANDY’S .

You won’t be disappointed.

My first experience with Randy's was mid-January.
I went in for a lipo replacement for a long dead, Nimh battery, and a new charger.

All three guys at the shop were friendly, willing to help, answer questions, and SUPER knowledgeable.

The store is stocked well.
They had a LOT of rc car stuff, too, if you are more terra-inclined.

(Think Larry's Hobbies, from the 80's)

I ended up buying an RTB along with other needed items.

(I am just getting back into the hobby after a 10 year hiatus. My transmitter is a dx7, and ar6100's bought new way back.
Time for new tech.)

I am planning on heading back there today for another rtb/rtf, and some more supplies.

It was an awkward experience from the moment I walked in. Didn't have what I wanted and then contemplated another vehicle and he just boxed me in like I was going to steal 🤣. Then I was like I'm going to check out what else the place has to offer. Super awkward experience, terrible service, and felt uncomfortable. Not going there ever again. Plenty of other rc stores worth the drive.

I had an unpleasant experience recently, but Randy reached out to me & not only made the situation right, but also went over and above what I expected. I very happily purchased 2 new RC vehicles yoday and will definitely go back for anything else I need.
I guess sometimes, personalities just don't mesh, but Randy's willingness to handle the situation completely changed my opinion & I would now highly recommend Randy's Hobbies!
Thank you, Randy!

Randy’s is THE place to go. Great selection of vehicles and parts. Went in today to pick up my revo which was getting a new clutch installed and walked out with a jato in the process😂 Turnaround times can be same day for repairs depending on what’s being done and if they have the part. Highly suggest stopping by.

It's definitely a great place if you're into avaiation. I'm hoping to see more variety in esc and motor other than traxxas. Prices aren't the greatest, but they were very knowledgeable about everything. If you like crawlers, this might not be the best spot. There are a lot of really cool used cars for sale there.

This place was really good in explaining to a newbie about this hobby. I picked up a 4x4 slash with some upgrades. I went home, unboxed it, charged the batterys, and began to have some fun. I know there is a lot more to learn. I look forward to doing more business with this company. I know there are more employees and they are really awesome, but Jason helped me. He really knew his stuff. Thanks Jason! 5 out of 5 would recommend if you are looking to wind down and live a little.
