Fresh Meadows library is a convenient, clean, and quiet library with pleasant staff.
I entered to look something up and pick up a book for a weekend read. I was greeted with hello's & smiles upon entering.
I had the pleasure of interacting with Ms Medina, which guided me thru the computer access and during check out, being polite and courteous the entire visit.

All my questions were answered quickly by staff without hesitiation. I was even given the option to assist in ordering a book I was looking for that was already on loan.

Pleasant experience at Fresh Meadows..

This is a one level building. The building appears to be modern when compared to other historic buildings throughout the city. The space is pretty open. This best appeal is that it is a safe haven. Art instructor Richard teaches the fundamentals of water color in a group setting.

Tiny library with big collection of books and video stuff. Parking space is limited but clerks are nice and helpful.

decent library but it's more of like a day care for kids and hang out spot.

Staff cant seem to keep the library quiet or tell the parents that their kid is being loud. Some older adults are also just on their phone talking loudly.

suggestion to staff is to maintain the library rules or else it'll get worse as others can see that this is a common occurrence.

This is loudest library i ever been , people don’t know how to pick they mouth shut in this library.it’s so ridiculous it’s like a supermarket danm

Good for kids due to the larger kids section compared to other libraries in the area. Generally feels roomy, clean, and bright. Has plenty of computers for adults and separate computers for kids. Also has tables for laptops, with power outlets. Has two restrooms (important for kids, who can go from not needing to go to ready to explode in a blink). Parking is limited in the front, but lots of parking in the adjacent shopping center/movie theatre (don't even need to cross any streets to get to.)

Very relaxed and conducive to studying. Sometimes the kids get loud but the librarians are good at controlling them. Highly recommend this library. And no homeless people either, unlike other libraries.

Obnoxiously loud ! My second time going there trying to study for finals, the first time, there were college kids sitting at a study table just conversing as if it was a cafe. This time a family walked in laughing and talking and having a blast. Don't get me wrong, these people sometimes don't realize but the staff just let them behave like it's a coffee shop in there, and it's so hard for people who go there and study .
