What a hidden surprise! This adorable first edition bookshop is down a small dark passage way that leads to a delightful respite of pure book nerd joy. The owner is a delight, welcoming each guest. With a few questions (and a keen eye) he figures out “just the thing” to show off to make you realize how special this place is— for me a signed jaws script and a signed Where the wild things are book. The celebrity photographs of clients just adds to the glamour. Do yourself a favor and stop by, purchase a shirt and enjoy this tiny gem.

The owner is wonderful, and it's evident that he's passionate about books.

This hidden honey hole is full of great 1st edition books. I hope your able to browse freely before the obnoxious and loud tour guide burst in, bringing typical tourists through! I think the owner should close the store prior to their arrival. I was confronted by the guide in a totally inappropriate way, and left disappointed, without purchasing any of his impressive books!

The fact that I drove over an hour to get there, had nothing to do with my 2 1/2 ⭐️ ⭐️ rating.

I have made purchases from him in the past, unfortunately I will not be back. Sorry!

I couldn't afford anything in the store and the proprietor knew it, but he was incredibly warm and kind. Told stories, showed me around, talked books and movies. If this is the kind of place that would pique your interest, it's worth a visit.

This is the most unique store! Nothing but 1st edition books. I could spend hours just looking at everything and listening to Harvey and Louis tell stories ! I will be back for sure.

Louis and his dad are great. They are both incredibly knowledgeable, have read every fiction book ever printed, and have a great sense of humor. Not to mention they have some incredibly mind-blowing stuff in there. Definitely worth a visit.

Our first time here...Met both Owners (Father and Son) Harvey and Louis...WHAT FANTASTIC GENTLEMEN!! This place is "SIX STARS" by its self...with the book of knowledge both Men have to offer...Make that TEN STARS!! The price range can vary...but you do get what you pay for!! All FIRST EDITION Materials...

As I promised them...WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!! This is true history...built from a generation of the love of books...

Thank you to BOTH GENTLEMEN...They made is feel...literally at home...

Such an amazing store, really feels more like a museum of literary artifacts, first editions of just about everything! Many of them signed! A must see for anyone remotely interested in literature

This hidden, eclectic book shop is amazing! You are immediately blown away by the sheer number of volumes, the presentation and displays. I was especially enthralled with the signed scripts and the Winnie-the-Pooh books! But as pricey as the back room is, the opposite is the front room, where there are a number of contemporary volumes all priced to only appreciate! Harvey is simply delightful and a font of knowledge. This is a must see if you're visiting the Sunset Blvd. area!
