No trip to Buffalo for me is complete without a trip to this gem of a book store. It’s small but not overwhelming with so many amazing books. It’s not a place for bestsellers and popular fiction - Buffalo has other great stores for that. It is a place to find books (and pamphlets and zines) that will challenge and enlighten you. For me, it’s the sort of store I go into planning to buy one thing but walking out with one or two or three other completely different things because there are so many great books there. Highly recommended.

Cute little bookstore filled with books from queer writers, anarchy and anti-capitalist material, and a small section on foraging in the corner by the window. Very quiet and friendly, and I bought too many stickers. It's certainly not material for everyone, but if queer anarchy and/or naturalism is your vibe, it's the spot for you.

I'm amazed by how many fungal books they had (what I went in for, wasn't expecting much at all). I bought a great lichen field guide and the book seller was very kind and helpful. I helped him identify a bird that was trapped in the store earlier that day! Hope the little guy is ok.

What a lovely bookstore; small, not overwhelming, but still has such diverse and extensive selections. Loved the little stickers, pins, zines etc. that they also sell. Definitely recommend stopping by!

What a waste of my time. I was not greeted. The shaggy haired guy at the counter didn't even look up. LOTS more fun things to do on his phone than talk to customers I guess! When I asked about the mid 90's Stephen King installment series of the GREEN MILE, he responded quickly: " Don't even bother looking. We don't even carry any of his material in this store." WOW. OK. Very helpful I thought. I left without a word. Wasn't acknowledged at all, let alone asked if he could perhaps find something comparable. Here I was trying to BUY LOCAL, and all I received was the feeling that I was bothering the clerk on his phone! How do you run a store that's not interested in paying customers Stay away! Bought on ebay and received quickly btw...

What a great store! Visited for the first time today and I loved it all. The selection was phenomenal and the store was laid out really well. It didn’t feel overly cramped or chaotic, which is impressive given the store isn’t all that big. It struck me as one of those places you go in looking for one book and come out with two or three other books that you didn’t know you needed until you started wandering around. I’ll definitely be back.

The location is perfect for the type of bookstore it is. It is a radical bookstore that focuses on radical thoughts and books. It feels as though it is leftover from the 60s and 70s. The neighborhood is a little rough, which means plenty of places to park. As there isn't a big walk in crowd. Places like this need to exist, but don't go there expecting to find a bestseller, but you can find books that can give you alternate ideas, which is great.
