Don’t sell/buy stuff here expecting an ok price. Examples included. Want a figure? Buy it off eBay. That gojo figure they wanted to sell for 85 is not worth that, and me only getting 40% ? if they want to over price things give me at least 50%. Really want to get rid of stuff? Donate it, or learn how to sell things on eBay, I certainly will be. I don’t think I could sleep well knowing they’d make someone pay 85 for a prize figure.

This place use to be an amazing spot to find good deals with plenty of $1 items. Even accounting for post covid inflation, the costs are out of control and often double what the same item in better condition goes for on ebay.

Went in last week and left within five minutes after seeing $40 LPS worth about $3, CDs start at $7, $30 used hard cover books, "collectible cds" being sold for twice the market rate on ebay.

Not worth the haste.

I really enjoy shopping at BOOKOFF! Rumor has it they may come to Arizona? If so, I will ship them. They have a lot of different items. Reasonably priced and great quality on their products. I bought some good things on this visit. If you enjoy Manga, DVDs, music, books... then this is the place for you.

I love this place they have almost every movie and game you can think of and a lot of action figures to choose from. You can spend hours here getting lost looking through everything. My only complaint though is the pricing on the comic book trade paperbacks.

This place used to be such an inexpensive affordable way to get them but they just upped the pricing on all them. I used to leave with an entire stack of them knowing I can always come back to this store as an escape since other places have them priced way too high as well. It’s frustrating finding a book I really want only to see they want too much for it. These all used to be half off but now it feels like you’re looking at eBay listings physically.

Thats the only thing I would change other than that it’s a good place to shop. I can’t say much for regular hardcover books since I don’t collect those. It’s a nice family bonding experience as well I notice people shopping with their kids for books here all the time. I bring friends with me sometimes to.

Love this place. Tried trading some stuff for cash, would only recommend if you want to get rid of stuff, and don't care how much cash they offer, which isn't a lot. Say you brought in a $100 item. They'd offer you $22.50 for it and then resell it for 1.5x-2x the original price, if not more, depending on the rarity. The cost of doing business, but I guess it works more often than not because the store is full to the brim with neat stuff. 10/10 will keep buying but never sell.

Great place to find all sorts of books, but primarily Japan oriented books. They buy games, too. Their electronics section is a mix of PCs, consoles and games. They also have official collectibles and pop culture merch all around the store. The selection is great and it's very well stocked. The prices are definitely higher than average, but you get the guarantee of it being legitimate products and not counterfeits. I personally enjoyed looking at the games, but you had all sorts of customers walking up and down the shelves.

I've loved BOOK OFF throughout the years but now they're overpriced at times. Some of their books are just a few dollars off cover price, but there's some cool finds from time to time.
