I grew up scouring bookstores all over the country in the 70s & 80s and the minute I walked into Book Nook I was transported back in time to the disorganized, messy, slightly smelly (love book musk!) bookstores of my youth! Awesome!

Piles of stuff stacked here, there and everywhere greeted me when I walked in. The clerks (so many of them!) ignored my entrance without so much as a look or grunt in my direction! They continued their discussion about gum as I took in the ambiance and grazed through the CD/DVD/Funko aisles.

The books. Oh, man. Love the rows and rows of used books. Decent prices as well.

I spent over an hour just browsing before I seriously got down to some shopping.

This is a wonderful throwback to an earlier, slightly greasier time. I can’t recommend it enough!

Go here to browse, not to look for anything in particular. Wander the aisles--there's so much weird, esoteric stuff to find.

Trading in books is a bit of a mixed bag, as they seem to value certain books inordinately but offer only a pittance for most. Never go for cash value.

They also buy and sell toys and collectibles, but display them haphazardly. Be prepared to dig through bins.

At the end of the day, this place is worth the visit. Spend a pleasant hour or so wandering the stacks. You'll almost certainly find something you want to take home. Maybe too many somethings.

I've been there maybe 5 times over 5 years. Not once have I found the employees to have any manners or a personality, the store to be clean and organized, or the prices to be fair. The prices on the CD's is comical.

These cheapskates would also give you $2 total if you traded in 100 original mint copies of Tom Sawyer.

I can't believe this place is still in business.

I have passed this bookstore everyday for four years and I kept telling myself that I am going to stop in here one day. I finally did today and now I wish I would have stopped in sooner. The Book Nook has everything you are looking for in a used book store. They have three different rooms to browse trough and so many different genres of books to choose from. They don’t just offer books but magazines, comics, games and music as well. I could have spent the whole day in here just Looking through everything they had I ended buying five used books in all and I spent under $15 for them.

Good selection of toys and collectibles at reasonable prices. Definitely come here rather than their Lilburn location if you're into nerdy stuff. Much larger selection of DVDs, comics and fantasy/sci-fi novels, but I'd say Lilburn probably has more vinyls and CDs. Staff is exceptionally nicer than the Lilburn location. I do wish they greeted us when we came in, but they were attentive and helpful once we got to talking with them. I also wish the store was more organized, especially considering it seemed like at least 4 people were working. But it wasn't a pigsty by any means. They also had a nice discount since we spent over $50. My partner and I will definitely be returning!

I love a crowded shop but Book Nook could use a cleaning and a reorganization. Often when I come in I find myself browsing awhile but walking away with nothing which is rare for me at any bookstore

I was a longtime customer of Book Nook when this store was located at Clairmont-Buford (back when Alex the owner ran it); I stopped visiting the N Druid location because they seldom had what I was looking for and they accepted too few of my books in trade; I hadn't been in this place since before the pandemic; today I was looking for a book and (1) was told the wrong aisle - had to find the right location by myself (2) the floors were filthy (3) they didn't have the book title I was searching for (4) the CDs were so badly labelled I gave up looking for the one I wanted, and, as I drove off I spotted (5) the unhelpful clerk lurking outside eating a candy bar.
