Book ? lovers unite and dwell in this altar to words!

Also if I could design the afterlife for myself, it would be among the floors of this absolutely MAGICAL bookstore!

If Paris had Shakespeare & Co and a legacy with Sylvia Beach, then Boston has Beacon Hill Books created by the visionary and warm Melissa Fetter!

In this case the pictures speak louder than my words ever could. But it is for the words (and the yogurt lemon cake) that you must make a pilgrimage here!

Although I didn't get to try the food due to the crowd and not having a reservation, the atmosphere was inviting and lively. The capuchino was top-notch, and I can see why it's so popular. I’m already looking forward to returning and trying their menu next time. Be sure to reserve a table if you plan to visit!

This place is the cutest!!!! I was in the Boston area last week and decided to take a solo trip to the Beacon Hill area to check out this bookstore. While it definitely can feel a bit like a tourist attraction because of the sheer volume of people who visit, the atmosphere of the building itself was so pleasant. They have a great range of books from children’s fantasy books to cooking books to autobiographies. It was such a beautiful place to spend time and I definitely plan on making a trip back soon!

What a cute bookstore! Love the colors and the way they organized the books. I bought a tote bag and I love it. There was a line to wait to get into the cafe at the time I visit and I couldn’t wait. Maybe next time I will visit the cafe. Highly recommend to visit this book store.

I found this cozy spot through instagram and it did not disappoint. It feels and looks like a book store out of a movie. But the best part is they have a gorgeous cafe with a perfect menu. Chef Colleen’s food is phenomenal and her cookies were the perfect ending to lunch. Don’t leave without buying one of their iconic tote bags and handmade mugs. I can’t wait to visit again. The books are very well-curated and they have awesome staff picks.

This is a must-do if you are a book lover visiting Boston!

Beacon Hill Books was the cutest, most aesthetically pleasing book store I have ever visited and I had to hold myself back from buying every book. It was three floors high (four with the coffee shop below but I didn’t get a chance to visit that portion). The top floor was dedicated to YA and Children’s books and it was just darling! I loved all of the little nooks and places to sit down for a minute.

Note that there are thin, windy staircases to get from floor to floor.

This charming and intimate bookstore and Cafe is a wonder! We had reservations for dinner and we were very pleased with the cuisine and service. It's a pre fixe menu but the choices are all delectable and there is variety. I started with the spinach tart and then had a main course of the Lamb, followed by a delicious a la mode brownie. We also enjoyed their non-alcoholic house drink which has a bit of a ginger zip... tasty. Others enjoyed the enchiladas which were delicious, and the awesome lobster mac and cheese. Service was attentive at all times and food was served hot with lovely presentation. You have a charming entryway off the street like going down Alice in Wonderland's rabbit hole! The three floors of bookstore are above the cafe and are accessed by stairs or an elevator. The bookstore is charming in its own right and has a lovely section for children in particular. Only drawback is that the restrooms are upstairs and not readily accessible without the elevator from the Cafe. Pricing is quite reasonable for the service and quality of the cuisine in the Beacon Hill area.

I was SO looking forward to this place. The ambiance is outstanding (10 stars!) but the service was awful! Our server didn’t know the difference between ice cream and pie. Also, be aware, they charge a “kitchen appreciation fee”. Last time I checked, paying your kitchen staff is part of the cost of doing business?! The mushroom bruschetta was outstanding but the crab cakes weren’t great.
