I feel like I walked into a grandma’s home who happens to love books. It’s just a cozy and homey place. ? I am not used to reading books from a stack form. So it was a bit difficult for me to read the book titles while not being in people’s way, since the rows are narrow. They have a ton of used books but you may want to check their condition. For example, some books had writing from the past owners. Other than that I enjoyed the bookstore. They also have a restroom! One last thing, I appreciate that they give you $2 off your used book purchase per book you donate. I didn’t bring any books but I like having that as an option. We bought a few used book though.

This is my favorite book store in OC!! It's honestly the best organized used book store I've ever seen. It's really impressive. They also sell some new books so there's a great selection.
A perfect morning is stopping for a croissant at Chaupain and then wandering over here and browsing the books. Heaven.

We couldn't resist a drive up the coast to visit this cute shop! It's charming, has a variety of books, and has fun workers. They enjoy working there and visiting with their customers. We literally had to buy bigger carry-on bags to bring back the books we bought. This was a great find. See you again on our next trip.

I have nothing but this to say: the positive reviews are true! Look at the pictures. It's a fun little sweet spot to relax, read, and ready yourself for an afternoon on the beach with a good book. Riley was especially helpful and I hope she gets a bonus for how attentive she is to customers and the details of that matter in friendly service.

Excellent selection across all sorts of categories. As a Christian I was excited to find way more Christian/religion books than you almost ever see at used bookstores.

The pricing system for most used books was unique but simple-just pay half the price of what the book cost new. For some books that felt a bit overpriced, but I still found several deals I was really pleased with!

I absolutely love this bookstore; there's nothing quite like it. However, I've been really disappointed with the customer service lately. The staff seem disinterested and often come across as rude. I often feel like I am interrupting their conversations when I am trying to check out. For example, yesterday I was trying to buy a book and had to wait a good bit while the two employees chatted and flipped through a calendar. I waited a few minutes, all 3 of us making direct eye contact.. lol. I felt like I was invading on their personal time. I really do love this bookstore, and want to shop local, but the attitudes of the employees are making it difficult. We can do better than this.

This is the cutest and best run used book store I’ve ever been to. The selection in here is INCREDIBLE and the staff are impressively knowledgeable about what they have in stock. They go through the time of helping you find a book similar to what you were looking for if they don’t have what you wanted in stock. Bought two books for $16! Very affordable. If you’re a new customer you get your fourth book free! :))

I was disappointed with my whole experience. I saw advertising on IG so I thought I'd check it out. From the second I entered the store, I felt I was being watched. Then no matter where I was, there was a young lady supposedly stocking shelves but I know full well she was watching me. I did not see a large selection of books by African Americans but seeing how I was treated, I'm not surprised. Then I asked about a certain book and the cashier told me I needed to look at the price, which may have been possible if I could actually reach the books. There was a man in there with a dog off the leash. When i came around the corner the dog looked like he thought about biting me. That store is way to small for people with large pets. Clearly the dog wasnt a service animal. I would say i did like the old bookstore vibe, Overall, I felt unwelcome and I likely will not go back.
