Cute bookstore with a decent variety of books. I took my niece while on vacation. I was pleasantly surprised by the collection given how small the store was. They also have a great selection of used books. My niece had trouble picking out what she wanted, and I walked away with a good find as well.

Y’all. Pelican Bookstore is a treasure to have found!! My parents found this bookstore before Christmas and today we went back and I fell in LOVE! The owner, Dawn, is a former librarian that purchased this shop a year and a half ago and is incredibly knowledgeable across all genres. Excellent recommendations and wisdom shared!! Do yourself a favor and visit Pelican Bookstore- with time allotted to peruse for a while! ♥️

Shopping at Pelican Book Store is a great way to support a treasured local business! I've visited this shop several times and I've never left disappointed. Staff members provide friendly and helpful guidance, the store carries a nice variety of books for all ages, and they also sell gift items and greeting cards. I live in the area part-time and I recently asked them to ship several books to my home in the northeast. They were happy to assist me and my requested books arrived promptly and in great condition! Check out their periodic author events too!

Stopped in today and found lots of treasures! The store is well organized and has a great selection. The lady at checkout noticed we bought 2 Stephen King novels and mentioned she’d just gotten two more in on trade and would we be interested? (yes!) That was so thoughtful! She was also kind enough to give us a lot of suggestions for places to eat. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in OIB!

This is a nice indie bookstore. They sell both new and used books, as well as book related items. Pelican also works with Silver Coast Winery to present author led book signings, check their websites! Definitely a gem!

Cute little bookstore in a beautiful little village of brick townhouses. They have new and used books. You can trade in used books to get credit. The offering of used books is limited, but the quality of what they have is very good. They also offer books from local authors. It has the advantage of being the only bookstore in Brunswick County, but it has always been a favorite of mine to visit when I'm in the area.

Really good selection of books and the owner was so nice! The used section had a lot of classics and new books that were at a discounted price. Would definitely come back!!
