Went here for a book signing event, staff had terrible customer service started cutting people in line “to help customers that pre ordered”. I wanted to buy a book from the shop as a way to say thanks for hosting such an awesome event but no longer. I will stay far away from this nightmare.

I came to the event with the author’s book, I drove from MD to the event and wanted to find a cool cook book from your store to remember my time in the city. I started waiting in line at 5:20pm. About an hour later the line cutting started and the line stopped and 30 minutes after that the line started moving again.

For anyone looking for a place that cares about potential customers, it ain’t here they treat you lower than dirt.

The name says it all. Wonderful little bookstore specializing in all things food! After searching several other places for anything written by Ludwig Bemelmans and coming up empty handed, Kitchen Arts and Letters had exactly what I needed. Any book lover will appreciate this spot.

This is an extraordinary shop--the staff are experts in their subject matter and passionate about sharing their considerable knowledge, the stock is exquisitely well-selected, and the ambiance could not be more chill. A key stop for cooks and food enthusiasts at every level.

Great store. All the cookbooks you could imagine are here. From various niches to various cuisine types. Knowledge and friendly staff that know their food stuff.

Great selection, it's really a cool store and I wish there were more like these. That being said, many of these books are grossly marked up. Purchasing a book for $130, just to find it available at several online retailers for $50-$60 cuts pretty deep.
