The vibe is insanely cool here. The building looks large on the outside but stepping in, you’re in the tiny nook of a new world. Feels just like getting lost in a book and for some reason this is not how most bookstores feel even though they should. Jewelry, stickers, books and all sorts of must have knickknacks. Reader’s dream.

I love this store. Along with a good selection of books, there are a lot of lovely literature-related gifts. I can always find things for friends here that I know they will love. I suppose it's just as well that I don't live nearby or I would be in there all the time. Apart from the great inventory, the place has a lovely cozy atmosphere and always friendly service. And of course there is the next door toy store, the cafe, and excellent pizza all in the same general space. This place is great!

This is one of my favorite places in downtown. ... A place where you can actually sit down and read! This place has everything...unique books you can't find on Amazon, the best postcards and cards, cute gift boutique, a great kids' section, a cafe, unique wines with generous pours at great prices, some liquor and cocktails, and you can walk around with your drink. The book section is bigger than it looks.

There is also a cute patio to enjoy the weather on.

The staff here is hit and miss... I've encountered staff that just seem like they hate life and everyone in it.... And others that are very friendly and helpful (Shout out to Bailey at the wine bar.)

They have live music and great events.

I had the pleasure of meeting Richard himself and he was a pleasure to talk to.

I love this place! It’s so darling and has everything one could want for a gift or for themselves. We bought me a new purse, socks and stickers. My children picked up journals and super fun pens. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area again.

Most-purchased at this store has been their art supplies. Surprisingly nice selection and prices are comparable to online behemoths. Shopping local is more fun and rewarding! This is my go-to place for gifts, and their free gift-wrap station is an amazing bonus. Wow- quality paper, bows, and ribbon.

Poor Richard's is awesome! You've got a ton to choose from, be it a huge bookstore, a relaxing coffee shop, a game and toy store, or a cafe with tasty food! I usually grab a bite then wander through the rest. My kiddos got grilled cheese and PB&j, I got a Reuben, and my wife got pizza, and they were all excellent, plus the kids area in the back of the cafe has returned! It's also fun to look at all the books

This bookstore is more than just a bookstore, it's more of an experience. They also buy and sell used books which is super cool and they've got an outstanding collection that you can look at. There's also the gift shop, the coffee shop, there's food. It's a great place to bring your kids or for a first date honestly. It's just a cool vibe and a great place to be.
