I had a TERRIBLE experience with Dr Li today it was our first and definitely our last visit. I can’t even understand how she has positive reviews after our experience. She was unbelievably rude even to my son as well who is only eight years old. The staff was kind and attentive to our concerns, the nurse who tested my son was friendly and made him feel comfortable as for the doctor herself it was the complete opposite. I’ve never met a medical professional that was so unprofessional! When she came in she didn’t even say hello to him, introduce herself or acknowledge him as a patient. She was very much in a rush and responded to everything with an attitude. Everything she asked me regarding his medical history I would attempt to answer and she would interrupt constantly and say that has to be incorrect. How can you deny a parent their child’s medical history regarding something as serious as symptoms to allergic reactions? She insisted and continued to deny all of his symptoms. I stated we have even been to the ER recently due to his sudden allergic reactions for unknown causes. Her responses were “no that has to be wrong” “that doesn’t sound right” and “well I don’t know your medical history” sarcastically after she had clearly asked me to give her some details regarding his history and although I tried to inform her on these reoccurring issues yet she would raise her voice over me with an attitude and continue to cut me off everytime I spoke. She was inattentive, wouldn’t listen to my concerns at all, she brushed it off and dismissed his symptoms and all my worries regarding his health. I explained to her his throat feels itchy and tight and he is also complaining of feeling weak and having constant asthma attacks. I mentioned OTC medication hasn’t been working and also let her know he didn’t have any more albuterol to continue treatment for the asthma she didn’t say she would give him a new script or nothing she just attempted to dismiss us out the room, I had to even tell her in the hallway can she atleast write an albuterol prescription for him because she wasn’t even going to! With our new insurance we are required to have a referral in order to see a specialist so I bought him to Dr Li who accepts our new insurance in hopes she would be his new pediatrician and help with a treatment plan or refer us to an allergist which she didn’t help with neither instead her response to his symptoms was “go home and sleep”. I wouldn’t recommend her at all, terrible bedside manner and an overall terrible experience!
